Our products are made-to-order, which means there’s only a small window before production begins. This timeframe can vary, and we cannot guarantee changes or cancellations once production starts. If you need to make any adjustments, please contact us immediately at orders@nihonkenshop.com, and we’ll do our best to assist you.
Can I return or exchange an item?
Due to the made-to-order nature of our products, we typically cannot accept returns or exchanges for buyer’s remorse. However, we want you to be happy with your purchase and will do our best to assist you. We encourage you to double-check sizing charts and read product descriptions carefully before ordering to minimize the risk of misordering.
If you’re an EU/EEA customer, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order. The item must be unused and in its original condition.

How long will it take to receive my order?
To get your order to you, we first need to make it and then ship it out. The total delivery time includes both production and shipping.
All our products are made-to-order after you place your order, usually taking about 2 to 7 business days. We really appreciate your patience, especially during busy times when it might take a bit longer. Some items, like The Shikoku Compendium, take extra time due to the special effort that goes into making hardcover books.
Once your order is on its way, we’ll notify you via email. We try to have most orders delivered in the EU and USA within 5 days after shipping, but there can be times when it takes a little longer.

How should I care for my printed apparel?
To keep your clothing looking its best, wash it inside out on a gentle cycle using cold water (30°C/86°F), and avoid tumble drying. This will help maintain the print quality and the fabric while preventing cotton items from shrinking or becoming excessively wrinkled. Each item has a detailed washing guide available on its product page, so please refer to that specific guide for your apparel.
